Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka

A plot is not essential to the purpose of Ilektricos Anguelos anymore than it would be to a collection of paintings or music albums. The director, writer, and editor Thannasis Rentzis has put together a collection of erotica going back to the most ancient past and even into outer space, showing his subject through paintings, drawings, sculpture, and cinema well into the modern world. From explicit love making to bland insinuation, the erotic interests of humanity are uncovered, enhanced in their effect by the music -- which won an award at the 1981 Thessaloniki Film Festival.
