Synopsis by Nathan Southern
This Nigerian-produced feature from director Chineze Anyaene follows the dramatic saga of Chioma. When we first see her, she's a young girl growing up in the hills of rural Nigeria - still a child, but well aware of the ways of the world. Though she warns her sister Anya about the illusions of the American Dream, Anya fails to heed these admonitions . Then, ten years later, Anya winds up in Los Angeles, accused of murdering three men (including her record producer husband) in a Hollywood Hills mansion. Chioma courageously travels to the west coast of the United States and teams up with a valiant young attorney in an attempt to save her sister, but soon discovers a dark and shocking secret that Anya has been keeping.
