Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
Filmmaker Jorge Hinojosa explores the remarkable life and literary career of famed pimp/author Iceberg Slim, whose seven books starting with 1967's Pimp: The Story of My Life captured the black experience on the written page like never before. Interviews with such fans and admirers as Ice-T, Snoop Dogg, Chris Rock, Henry Rollins, and Quincy Jones offer a vivid glimpse into the life of a man who gave birth to hip-hop culture, and served as the catalyst for the blaxploitation film movement.
