Synopsis by Rovi
Filmed before the episode in which Lucy (Lucille Ball) gives birth to Little Ricky, "The Club Election" is staged in the form of a flashback, as Ethel (Vivian Vance) recalls the time that she and Lucy ran against each other for the presidency of the Wednesday Afternoon Fine Arts League. The situation reaches its farcical nirvana when both Lucy and Ethel fall over each other trying to woo the deciding vote from new club member Mrs. Knickerbocker (played by the irreplaceable Ida Moore). Doris Singleton, best known for her recurring I Love Lucy role as Caroline Appleby, is here cast as a clubwoman named Lillian...Lillian Appleby.
