Ricky (Desi Arnaz) has always wanted to star in his own TV show, but he is less than enthused when an important department-store sponsor insists upon a "husband and wife" show, with Lucy (Lucille Ball) as part of the package. When Lucy finds out that Ricky hadn't wanted her to appear on "Breakfast With Lucy and Ricky," she does everything in her power to sabotage the dress rehearsal. Little does she realize that the so-called rehearsal is actually the premiere telecast, with her obstreperous antics being beamed out to the entire city of New York, plus the outlying suburbs!
