Synopsis by Jonathan Crow

Clifton Ko Chi-sum directs this surprise sleepy hit about a 1960s girl group called "The 4 Nuts" that has a reunion concert in the '90s. Presented in flashbacks, the film shows how the four honed their skills against the backdrop of student protests and general social turmoil while dealing with their own personal issues. Fung-ping struggles with her deadbeat boyfriend, while Eagle (Fung Wai-hung) wastes her talent singing in lowlife dives. Lulu (Law Koon-lan) struggles to be the loyal friend, while Butterfly (Alice Lau Ar-lai) is suffering through an up-and-down relationship with a hunky sax player, Karl (David Wu Tai-wai), who eventually goes to New York to pursue his career there. During the reunion concert, Butterfly is most displeased to learn that Karl is in the audience. Inevitably, though, she falls for him all over again.
