Best Film winner at the 1991 Chamrouse International Film Festival, this episodic look at the lives of various Athens residents was written and directed by Vassilis Alexakis, one of the most talented Greek filmmakers of the time. The various tales involve: a mortician (Kostas Tsakonas) who sells double coffins for couples who die together in car accidents; a soccer match with an unusual outcome; a weary electrician (Yiorgos Konstas) and a weary actress (Nadia Mourouzi); a thief (Antonis Kafetzopoulos) who steals the money from the Acropolis's Herod Atticus Theater; a crazed mother (Voula Zoumboulaki) who doesn't want to wear shoes; and a lonely watermelon rolling across the streets of the city. Mania Papadimitriou co-stars with Athinodoros Proussalis and Takis Moschos.
