Never-before-seen performance footage of late comedian/actor Bernie Mac and interviews with the friends and colleagues who knew him best combine to offer an intimate portrait of the Chicago native who skyrocketed to fame on his popular television sitcom The Bernie Mac Show, and in such films as Ocean's 11, Transfomers, and Soul Men. Interviewees include Chris Rock, Cameron Diaz, Carl Reiner, Steven Soderbergh, Samuel L. Jackson, Tom Arnold, and Don Cheadle.
