Synopsis by Fred Beldin

Debbie (Lisa Baker) is a blonde virgin who won't give in to her poindexter boyfriend (who has an unfortunate speech impediment). After witnessing her mother's secret drunken threesome, Debbie is stunned and stumbles out into the street, where she's abducted by a pack of black nationalists out for a good time. They rape her in the back seat of their Cadillac and then take her back to their plywood hideout where she's immediately put to work frying steaks and pouring drinks. Debbie reacts to all of this abuse silently, like she's in shock, though when one of the brothers wins exclusive rights to her for the night in a poker game and gets rough, she goes back to screaming and pleading for mercy. Later a white businessman arrives with a briefcase full of dough that the gang will earn by starting a riot outside of a supermarket so the owner can collect insurance money. When the gang leader's girlfriend shows up the fur begins to fly, and a variety of knife attacks, shotgun blasts and dead, naked people wraps the whole ugly mess up. Hot Summer In The City was filmed in Detroit, Michigan, and residents will be amused by the references to real locales, and the fact that the movie was scored by simply turning on local station CKLW and letting the hits roll is toetappingly bizarre. A variety of great pop hits are pirated, along with actual snippets of disc jockey patter.
