A case of road rage results in the deaths of both drivers. As Kellerman (Reed Diamond) and Munch (Richard Belzer) investigate this tragedy, medical examiner Julianna Cox (Michelle Forbes, in her final series appearance) receives orders from "higher up" to falsify her autopsy report. Meanwhile, the rest of the homicide unit investigate the death of a would-be spy who was smothered while participating in a mock training session. Giardello (Yaphet Kotto) calls in a few favors to crack this case, but not before the perpetrator does his best to kill everyone in the precinct station!
