Brad (Zachery Ty Bryan) feels "jinxed" before a big test when brother Randy (Jonathan Taylor Thomas) calls him an idiot. Meanwhile, the boys' father, Tim (Tim Allen) hopes to teach his wife Jill (Patricia Richardson) the intricacies of plumbing by staging a special "Tool Time" episode with an all-female audience -- assuming that any woman would want to subject herself to Tim's traditionally patronizing remarks. Somewhere along the line, Tim's assistance Al (Richard Karn) makes the acquaintance of the toothsome Greta Post (Jennifer Nash).
