Synopsis by Hal Erickson

The title of this delightfully non-propagandistic Iraqi film translates to Love in Baghdad. Kasim Al Mallak plays a dual role: that is, two personalities in one body. Getting nowhere in life because of his dullness and lack of imagination, downtrodden husband Mallak suffers a blow on the head when he falls out of a tree. He suddenly discovers he's had a colorful previous life, including a whirlwind courtship of another woman. He heads to Baghdad to seek out his past love, while his trail is dogged by present wife and in-laws.
