Hit the Road on AllMovie

This syrupy comedy drama, an entry in Universal's "Little Tough Guys" (the studio's version of the popular "Dead End Kids," that even featured young actors from the latter gang) series, begins as the streetwise young gangsters are released from their latest stint in reform school. They are all set to get back in to a trouble when a former gangster shows up and tries to help them go straight. Unfortunately, the rambunctious lads pay him little heed until a mob war erupts and a few of their fathers die. The toughsters then rally together, and masquerading as well-mannered rich boys, head out to get undercover revenge.
