Synopsis by Hal Erickson

There have been so many Sherlock Holmes parodies bearing the name "Herlock Sholmes" that it would take the mental agility of the Great Detective himself to provide a complete list. Typical of the lot was the short-lived British children's TV comedy series Herlock and Sholmes, which ran from July 11 to October 3, 1958, courtesy of Associated Rediffusion. Jack Edwardes and Dickie Arnold played the title characters, a pair of incredibly stupid gumshoes. Somehow, the producers of Herlock and Sholmes were able to stretch this wafer-thin premise over 13 15-minute episodes.
