Synopsis by Mark Deming
In this made-for-TV movie, which was a precursor to the popular television adventure series Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Hercules (Kevin Sorbo) must come to the rescue when a crack in the surface of the Earth turns out to be a tunnel straight to the depth of Hell. The residents of a nearby village have been tumbling into the fiery pit, and now it's up to Hercules to bring them back to Earth. Hercules: In the Underworld also stars Anthony Quinn as Zeus and Tawny Kitaen as Deianeira.
