Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Esther Ralston, then a hard-working, up-and-coming actress and not the star she would later become, is featured in this low-budget program feature which came from Certified Pictures. Character actor Edward McWade is the unlikely choice to play an evil Asian, which he does with all the clichés and abhorrent stereotypes of the era. A pair of miners, Dan Hallet (William A. Lowry) and Paul Preston (Lee Hill), adopt Nina, a pretty young girl (Ralston). Nina was raised by Lee Wong (McWade), who bears a grudge against Hallet. Wong tries every devious trick he can think of to do away with Hallet. He is unsuccessful, and eventually it develops that Hallet is Nina's real father -- he had lost track of her when she was merely a baby. Paul Preston (who is not Nina's half-brother, as the title implies, or any relation to her whatsoever) falls in love with the girl and Hallet consents to their marriage.
