Synopsis by Janiss Garza

When Mrs. Masters dies, she leaves a letter for her daughter, Claire (Irene Howley), urging her to make sure that Mr. Masters (Frank Currier) avoids making any rash business decisions. But Claire is an independent sort who clashes with her father, an irascible Wall Street financier. She wishes to eschew society life and go to work while he wants her to stay at home. Not only that, he hates her sweetheart, Ralph (Jack Devereaux), who is the son of a rival financier. So Claire leaves home, even though Masters has threatened never to speak to her again, and she finds work -- at her father's office, through using an assumed name. She winds up with the position as his personal secretary, and luckily for them both, he has enough of a sense of humor to welcome her into the fold. Not long after, he involves himself in the kind of shady deal that his wife had feared, but Claire and Ralph save him from himself. Ultimately, Masters discovers the letter written by his wife before her death and he also comes to bless the union of his daughter and Ralph.
