Synopsis by Tracie Cooper
Directed by Kaisa Rastimo, Heinahattu Ja Viilttitossu (Hayflower and Quiltshoe) is a Finnish children's movie centered on the growing rebellion amongst the Alibullen family. Between their neglectful scientist father (Päivi Akonpelto) and their hopelessly overwhelmed stay-at-home mother (Merja Larivaara), Hayflower (Katriina Tavi) and Quiltshoe (Tilda Kiianlehto) are understandably frustrated. When Quiltshoe realizes her older sister will be leaving her for her first year in school, she wreaks as much havoc as possible -- so much, in fact, that the mild-mannered Hayflower finally breaks and airs her own protests.
