synopsis
Irresistibly cute Jackie Saunders was the tomboyish leading lady of the Knickerbocker three-reeler Heartbreakers. An heiress, Saunders doesn't want to upset her frivolous lifestyle by getting married, despite the persistence of her four handsome suitors. Running away from her quartet of beaux, the heroine resurfaces in a small fishing village, where, under an assumed name, she finds work as a maidservant. In this guise, she falls in love with a rookie newspaper reporter, who, by a wild coincidence, has been assigned to get the "real story" behind Saunders' reluctance to marry. "Nothing out of the ordinary" was Variety's on-the-nose assessment of Heartbreakers.
