Synopsis by Hal Erickson
A none-too-realistic circus tent was the backdrop for this heart-tugging Edison drama. As the story opens, the circus comes to town, bringing with it a clown and his seriously ill daughter. Though reluctant to leave the girl's bedside, the clown realizes that "The Show Must Go On." Despite all indications that an unhappy ending is in the offing, the girl recovers, perhaps as a reward for her father's willingness to give his All to his Art. Despite the artificiality of the sets and props, Heart of a Clown at least offers a few genuine circus acts, including a trained-dog routine and an equestrian turn.
