Synopsis by Clarke Fountain
Loosely based on a chapter from Hans Christian Andersen's autobiographical book A Poet's Bazaar, this pretend-documentary explores his enthusiasm for the Italian people and countryside. Allusions are made to his shyness with women, suggesting that he may have been a homosexual. In the story, a Roman society matron makes a determined effort to seduce the famed storyteller.
