Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Doris Kenyon stars in this not-particularly successful adaptation of the play by Augustus Thomas. Dora (Kenyon) has been raised in America by Professor James Fullerton (Earl Schenck) and his sister, Conelia (Grace Barton). She is unaware that Fullerton was actually her mother's first husband, and she is actually the product of her mother's second marriage to Jacques Vavin (George A. Lessey). As a young woman, Dora follows in her mother's footsteps and decides to pursue a stage career, even though the Fullertons disapprove. The first troupe she joins, however, is run by a crooked manager, and Willard Holcomb (Wilfred Lytell), one of Dora's fellow members, helps her get out of the situation. Holcomb is also a playwright, and he asks her to star in his latest work. Vavin, who has come to America to lecture on "thought suggestion," finally locates his long-lost daughter. He helps bring Dora and Holcomb together romantically.
