Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka
As the 53 interviews in this documentary unfold, the viewer is brought to another time and place, a post-World War II subculture in which the arts, sexual liberation, and drugs were intermixed. Hans van Sweeden (1939-1963) was a poet and musician and part-time actor who embodied that lifestyle, and he forms the nexus of the broader picture delineated by the interviewees' anecdotes.
