Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Detective Roderick Moran (Joe King) nabs counterfeiter Tony Brachieri (Francis McDonald) and makes sure he is sent up the river. But before he is locked away, Brachieri swears revenge. Moran becomes involved with the mysterious Laura Bowers (Margery Wilson), who boards at the same house as he does. They get married, and Moran thinks he is safe because Brachieri has been killed while trying to escape from prison. But one night at the Morans' new home, a bullet flies through a window and wounds him. The police are unable to solve the attempt on Moran's life, but Laura does -- she brings in the Calabrian Kid (Irene Hunt), Brachieri's wife who was trying to get revenge on behalf of her late husband. It turns out that Laura is a member of the secret service -- or was, because (as was frustratingly typical of the era) Moran decides it is time for her to give up her career and stay at home.
