After production halted on Hanaukyo Maid Team in 2004, the premise was reborn and retold in this 2004 series, Hanaukyo Maid Team: La Verite. It tells the story of a small, charming boy n amed Taro Hanukyo, who has recently lost his mother and been taken to live with his grandfather. When he moves into the man's epic mansion (complete with an army of beautiful women working there), he notices things are a little strange. His grandfather has retired to a remote island and while some of the patriarch's maids perform traditional tasks, such as cooking and cleaning, others work in areas like science, or even defense. Hanaukyo Maid Team: La Verite finds plenty of laughter in Taro's near-allergy to the feminine attention, since a legion of fawning women surround him at every moment.
