Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein
Produced by poverty row entrepreneur Samuel Bischoff, this inexpensive silent melodrama starred Shannon Day, a former Paramount ingenue, as Maya, a gypsy betrothed to a treacherous tribesman. She is saved in the nick of time by Jaime (Thur Fairfax) but they are caught, and Jaime is sentenced to the stake. Maya heroically joins him on the pyre, but at the last minute, the lovers are rescued by Maya's father and his men.
