Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein
This low-budget silent melodrama was produced by film pioneer Fred J. Balshofer and starred Russian-born Boris Bullock under the nom-de-cinema of William Barrymore. The Balshofer/Barrymore series was directed by legendary Robert J. Horner, the Edward D. Wood, Jr. of the late silent era. Horner, who according to some reports was legless as a result of a car accident, directed, wrote and sometimes produced cheap fodder for the low-budget independent market. He lost his life in yet another car accident.
