Hank Kimball (Alvy Moore) is informed that a young agricultural student has been sent out to observe him as he goes about his work. What Hank doesn't know is that the student is a curvaceous lass named Terry Harper (Francine York). Before long, however, word gets out that Terry is definitely a "she" and not a "he," the result being that Hooterville's eligible bachelors, young and old alike, are falling over each other trying to invite Terry to an upcoming community dance.
