Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Now that he is in charge of the Hooterville Telephone Company, Oliver (Eddie Albert) is certain that he can whip the woebegone utility into shape. Alas, he soon discovers that it is easier to criticize the phone company than to run the place. First crisis: the company's one-and-only operator quits, forcing Oliver and Lisa (Eva Gabor) to helm the decrepit switchboard (complete with a Victrola "answering service") all by themselves. This is the second episode of a four-part story arc.
