Synopsis by Rose of Sharon Winter

This video is part of a series that presents the history of some the finest airplanes in the United States military arsenal. The program includes a tour of each plane, personal recollections by the personnel who served on board the aircraft, and exciting archival film footage of flight missions. The F-16 Fighting Falcon is the subject of this volume. The Falcon was built by a joint effort of the United States with a consortium of NATO countries. It first flew in 1976. Its exceptional maneuverability made it indispensable in the Persian Gulf War, where it was used to attack Scud missiles, as well as military airfields and factories.
