Debuting September 5, 1978, the Canadian sports series Grandstand Quarterback was seen during the 15-minute halftime period of the weekly CFL football broadcast. Hosted by Tom McKee, the series specialized in interviews with past football greats. In addition to the discussions, vintage films of the players' best moments were flashed onscreen at crucial junctures. The final episode of Grandstand Quarterback aired on October 29, 1978.
