Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein

Robert T. Haines and Jane Grey starred in this domestic melodrama about a miner who becomes a millionaire through a series of clever investments. Using his newfound position to run for political office, Daniel is embarrassed by his wife, Mary, who has completely failed to adjust to their new lifestyle. Planning to divorce her after an especially embarrassing episode, Mary's unselfish devotion causes Daniel to reconsider. Based on a 1915 British novel by Alice Bradley, The Governor's Lady had been filmed previously in 1915 starring May Allison and Theodore Roberts.
