Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Based on a novel by Mary Grant Bruce, the Australian miniseries Golden Fiddles was all about the Balfours, a modern family living in what used to be known as genteel poverty. All this changed when Mrs. Anne Balfour (Kate Nelligan) fell heir to millions. Naturally, this reversal of fortune had both positive and negative effects upon Anne, her husband Walter (John Bach), and their four impressionable children. The two episodes of Golden Fiddles were telecast by Australia's 9 Network in 1991.
