Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Intended as a successor to the British weekend children's show Saturday Superstore, BBC1's Going Live debuted in 1987. Running a full three hours each week, the series was a potpourri of songs, skits, pop-culture references, dressing tips, health advice, and celebrity guests (mostly TV stars and singers). In addition to a brace of human hosts, the regulars included the obligatory funny puppet, Gordon the Gopher. In its later stages, Going Live occasionally cut its weekly running time from three hours to two.
