Synopsis by Janiss Garza

General Darrington disowns his daughter and replaces her in his affections with a young lawyer, Lennox Dunbar (Harris Gordon). But when the daughter becomes seriously ill, her daughter, Beryl -- the General's granddaughter (Florence LaBadie) -- returns to ask for help. Reluctantly, the old General agrees, but when Beryl goes to the station, she is arrested for her grandfather's murder. Things look bad for her during the trial, but her brother, Bertie (Morris Foster), shows up and admits he too was at the General's home that night. There was a quarrel, and when the old man went after him with an andiron, he was killed by a bolt of lightning. The court is ready to scoff at this unlikely story when Dunbar appears with something even more unlikely -- a plate of glass etched with Darrington's last moments by the lightning bolt. Beryl -- who Dunbar has come to love -- is exonerated, as is Bertie.
