Synopsis by Sandra Brennan
The title of this documentary refers to a program implemented by former New York City Mayor John Lindsay during the late 1960s when the city was plagued with civil unrest. Included in this consciousness raising program were TV spots including a brief interview with a group of kids from Harlem's P.S. 197 in which they were asked, "What would you like to be when you grow up?" Now, 25-years later, filmmaker Adam Isidore has sought out those originally interviewed to find out what became of them.
