Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka

This is a unique, if not eccentric film in which the co-star is a piece of architecture, a hotel room to be exact. Into a room in a hotel, the camera follows Diane, a fashion photographer in Rome looking for a certain Giovanni. And then when Diane leaves the room for the world at large, the camera and the microphone stay put to record such oddities as an illicit couple entering the room for awhile, a wounded man coming in and out of the room via the window, and the maid poking around Diane's possessions. When Diane is in, she is nervous and cannot settle down as she turns the television on and off and tosses and turns, unable to sleep. By the time she is ready to leave, viewers have learned a lot more about the environment she barely notices and so when the maid comes in to clean the room for the next occupant, it seems like the next chapter in the room's history is about to begin.
