Synopsis by Rovi
As season two of Gilmore Girls gets under way, Lorelai (Lauren Graham), still unsure about accepting the marriage proposal of Max Medina (Scott Cohen), scrutinizes a list of reasons why she should...and why she shouldn't. Meanwhile, Lorelai's daughter, Rory (Alexis Bledel), is overjoyed that she has made the top 3 percent in her Chilton Prep School class -- but her joy is shattered when her boyfriend Dean (Jared Padalecki) is verbally assaulted by her grandfather, Richard (Edward Herrmann). And Rory's friend Lane Kim (Keiko Agena) is appalled to learn that her strict Korean parents have bought her a one-way ticket to Seoul. This episode was originally shown in tandem with "Hammers and Veils" as a single two-hour Gilmore Girls installment.
