While doing some chores for Mr. Howell (Jim Backus), Gilligan (Bob Denver) comes across what looks like a treasure chest. Although no one knows how to open the chest to find out what's in it, a battle royal erupts between Gilligan and Mr. Howell over the ownership of the new prize. In order to split up the loot (if any) in a fair and equitable manner, the Skipper (Alan Hale Jr.) takes the case to "court", with himself as the judge and the others as witness and jurors.
