Rupert Julian was producer, director, author and star of the Universal three-reeler Gilded Youth. Julian plays Pinky Cochrane, one of a trio of starving artists: the other two are Sam Wellbridge (Bertram Grossby) and Mac MacTavish (O.E. Wilson). When one of their favorite models dies, the three heroes take charge of the woman's infant son Victor. Once the boy has grown to manhood, his three foster fathers decide to choose a likely wife for their "shared" son. But Victor falls in love with another girl, forcing Pinky to "sacrifice" himself by stealing the girl away from the boy.
