Synopsis by Alice Day
On the occasion of what would have been George Gershwin's 100th birthday, a group of spirited performers gather in tribute at the London Palladium. Gershwin's death cut short a brilliant career, although he left behind a remarkable legacy of music, which includes Porgy and Bess and An American in Paris. He wrote such classics as "Embraceable You," "They Can't Take That Away From Me," and "Summertime." The singers on this program include Maureen McGovern, Kim Criswell, Brian Conley, and Tim Flaven.
