After originally airing in Japan in 1983, Genesis Climber Mospeada was adapted, with revised dialogue and a slightly different story, for the third "generation" of the original Robotech series. The original series tells the story of an alien invasion that sacks Earth in 2050. The only people left alive live in colonies on Mars and the moons of Jupiter. An assault is launched on the warring aliens, but to no avail. An entire generation goes by, and now it is time for the second assault. Equipped with transformable mecha suits, the Second Liberation Force attempts to retake the planet, but the results aren't much different than those of their predecessors. A small handful of soldiers, however, does survive, and now its up to these elite pilots to infiltrate the alien headquarters.
