The situation in Belgistan escalates, with neighboring countries watching cautiously and NATO forces attacking by air and ground, only to meet heavy resistance and suffer huge casualties. Somehow, Belgistan is neutralizing state-of-the-art military hardware despite its lack of resources. Meanwhile, the elder Gowa brothers, who were overseeing the attempt to summon the entity, try to understand what made Yushiro stop his dance and close the gateway. They are able to deduce that something interfered with Yushiro from the outside, but no one knows what. Later, Yushiro's brother, Kazuharu, and other Gowa representatives show the JSSDF top brass a demonstration of the TAs' fighting ability, and they are suitably impressed and warned that Belgistan may have their own TAs in the field. Unbeknownst to the brass, Kiyotsugu Gowa, another brother in the Experimentation Company, is gathering evidence that perhaps Belgistan's weapons test was actually another summoning. (American release in 2000.)
