Synopsis by Hal Erickson
This violent crime saga is better known by its release title, Verne Miller. Scott Glenn plays the title character, a former South Dakota lawman who becomes a "torpedo" for Chicago gangster Al Capone. Not completely divested of humanity, Verne Miller risks capture by saving the life of a friend. Because of this gaffe, he is hunted down by both Capone and the Feds. It's not a pretty story, nor does director Rod Hewitt try to make it so.
