Since the events of the first Fushigi Yugi OVA, Tamahome has been "reborn" out of the book as Taka. The only problem is that Miaka still needs to imbue Taka with Tamahome's memories. It would appear, however, that someone wants them to fail, and for Taka to vanish. Now, the Suzaku Seven must unite once more in order to solve this mystery, find their seemingly immaterial foe, and let Miaka and Taka enjoy their long-fought life together. Will the curtain close on the Mysterious Play before things are set right? The Fushigi Yugi OVAs explore slightly more adult themes, to fit with characters that have matured in many ways.
