Synopsis by Cammila Collar
The almost impossibly optimistic high school student Tohru Honda has recently lost her mother in a car accident and despite her grief, she's still unwilling to impose upon her friends, so she sets up a tent in the woods as a temporary residence. One day, Tohru discovers that the cabin near her makeshift house is home to none other than Yuki Sohma, the most popular and adored boy in her school. When Yuki realizes where Tohru has been staying, he offers her a room in the cabin in exchange for some help with the housework and cleaning. The high-minded girl remains staunch in her unwillingness to accept charity--that is, until her tent is swallowed in a landslide. Tohru is poised to begin a new life living under the same roof as the boy of her dreams and things look almost perfect, but this dreamboat has a secret: the boys of the Sohma family are possessed by spirits of the Chinese zodiac and when they are hugged or weakened, they transform into the mythical creatures of their curse! Could romance bloom between these teenagers with such a mountain of unconventional circumstances piling up around them?
