Unrelated to the 1996 horror film of the same name, the British TV series Frighteners was an anthology of "scary" stories, designed with younger viewers in mind. Four 25-minute episodes were produced, each one a feast of intriguing special effects and spooky plot twists. Frighteners was broadcast over Britain's ITV network in 1997; since that time, the program has curiously dropped from sight.
