Synopsis by Cavett Binion
This Italian production stars Gordon Mitchell as the modern-day monster-maker, who appropriately dubs his bald, lumbering patchwork creation "Mosaico." After the creature's escape from the lab, the plot seldom deviates from scene after scene of the scar-faced behemoth disemboweling women and bashing in people's heads with a leg-bone. Despite the participation of makeup effects master Carlo Rambaldi (who would bring E.T. to life ten years later), production values are virtually nonexistent. Essentially an exploitive slasher scenario with a man-made killer, this sleazy mess has about as much to do with Mary Shelley's legendary tale as a box of Frankenberry cereal.
