Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Beth (Gladys Leslie), through no fault of her own, winds up homeless and on the doorstep of Jimmie Vernon (Kempton Greene). Jimmie is a prizefighter with dreams of being an artist. He takes her in, and not long after brings home a baby. It had been brought to a pool room by a crook (Denton Vane) who had kidnapped it from a wealthy family. When the place was raided, Jimmie made off with the child. One night Jimmie goes to fight and while he's gone, the crook comes to his door and wrestles the baby away from Beth. Then when Jimmie doesn't come home -- it turns out the fight sent him to the hospital -Beth is homeless once again. She is taken in by a wealthy family, the Wynnes. Mrs. Wynne (Frances Mann) is literally sick over the loss of her child, which, of course, turns out to be the very same baby Jimmie had found in the pool room. Beth manages to get the baby back from the crook, but it takes Jimmie, upon his return from the hospital, to assure the Wynnes that Beth had no part in its original kidnapping. The Wynnes help out the young couple by allowing Beth to stay at their home and financing Jimmie's art lessons.
