Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Producer William Fox was traveling through France when he met a trainer for the U.S. cavalry. He was impressed with the young man's horsemanship and good looks and put him to work back home in westerns as Buck Jones. This picture was Jones' second starring feature. "Squint" Taylor (Jones) owns a ranch and has a much older mining partner. When the partner is fatally wounded, he makes Taylor promise to take care of his daughter Marion (Winifred Westover). Taylor is more than happy to do his bidding, but Marion and her uncle are both involved with William Carrington (Stanton Heck), who is trying to cheat them out of her share of the mine. And Taylor has even more trouble -- he has gained the enmity of the crooked politicians who are lording it over that part of the country, and they refuse to allow him to serve his elected term as sheriff. Instead, they try to frame him for the murder of his partner. But, like many a cowboy star before him, Jones overcomes his enemies with the use of his wiles and his fists.
